If there is one thing I hear almost daily, it's this; You can make money with your little blog? Yes, you can make money with your “little” blog.
Is it easy? NO!
Is it hard work? YES!
But is it possible? HECK YEAH!
In 2017, Anna and I got this bug in us to create some fantastic products for pregnant women (I'm a labor nurse, and she was pregnant) and some products for babies! We saw a severe need for modern labor gowns and wanted to fill it.
However, I also had a deep-rooted dream to start a blog.
So in 2018, we took the plunge!
If you read my blog story, then you know that we decided that Pinterest would be my blog project. I had to unwrap the mysteries of why most bloggers shout PINTEREST from the top of their lungs! I first invested in our blog by researching and taking courses about Pinterest. It paid off people. I took all the knowledge gained and created my thang, and we have EXPLODED!
It wouldn't have happened if I hadn't invested in education.
So, yes, Pinterest has been our primary source of traffic, which is why I am almost finished with our Pinterest course, which will be pretty dang easy to understand and implement. But we found ourselves needing to know what now? We had over 50k visitors per month at the time, but we had no clue how to monetize our traffic.
So my next learning adventure became unwrapping the source of income that most bloggers claim. Affiliate Marketing.
My most significant piece of advice to a new blogger or a blogger who has not experienced the success we have had is this:
Be willing to invest in your business. Think TIME AND MONEY!
Earn Income On What You Use!
Do you know that you can make money only by recommending products and resources that you use yourself? I mean think about the beauty of this?
Don't you already do it? You and your friends grab drinks at the Moxy Hotel. The next day, you head into work singing the praises of the fantastic staff and the super chill vibe they have going on! Several of your co-workers grab drinks and play pool that weekend. Moxy sends you a check for your recommendation! HECK NO! But guess what? If you did that same scenario on your blog and someone heads to there through your link, you make money!
Ok, so back to the point of this review!
Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing
When I say to you, that I did a lot of research finding this course, this is an understatement. Just like Pinterest courses, many people are claiming a quick fix through affiliate marketing. And just like Pinterest courses, in which those creators should have established authority and proof on Pinterest before creating a course, affiliate marketers, should also be making some money before creating a course on the topic.
And that is how I chose this course!
Who created this course?
Michelle Schroeder-Gardner, who is an incredible personal finance blogger is the creator. Her site Making Sense of Cents allows her to travel the world. She created “Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing” course in 2016.
Um, Hello, she makes over 100k a month blogging! That is INSANE! (For the record, we are not there yet, but we will be!)
Michelle made over a million last year! HOLY SMOKES!

My one complaint: It does not have video, which was turned out ok because it allowed me to fly through the course.

It is a simple course to implement no matter your niche. The fact is, she knows her stuff, and she is willing to share it with you.
Honestly, one of the bonus lessons, that I have learned from Michelle's influence has been to network with other bloggers. She recommends giving more than you take and reap the reward in return.
Along with the increase in our affiliate income since taking, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing, our community has grown because of her advice. I have made some life long friendships with others in my niche and a few outside my niche. (This will be very beneficial to your blogging journey)
