Are you ready for the challenge? Does the meaning of the name play a role in choosing? I am all about the meaning of a child's name so I've included them here.
Check out this list of twenty unique baby boy names that you will want to add to your growing list of choices.
Oliver ~ “Ollie”
You will love yelling out Oliie as you tickle his little tummy. This name means “olive tree” symbolizes fruitfulness and beauty and dignity. The saying ‘Extending an olive branch' signifies an offer of peace.
Greyson
The meaning is a little wonky as it means “son of the grey-haired man” which in our case was appropriate as mike was 40! We are pretty partial and think it's right on track when it comes to robust boy names.
Renly
No, I don't watch Game of Thrones. Yes, I do like the name. It is a pop culture name to end all pop culture names as it means “invented name.” This is one of my favorite unique boy names.
Sawyer
You can't get stronger than the name Sawyer, which means “Cuts Timber.” I have loved this name since Lost, and broody Sawyer entered the scene. Anyone else team Kate & Sawyer?
William ~ “Liam”
William means “Helmet of will.” Wait I think I accidentally named my kids this name.
Branson
Branson is derived from Brando which means “sword.”
Santiago
Santiago means Saint James.
Asa
My sweet grandson is named Asa, and it means “healer/Physician.”

The meaning of the name is: From the hollow in the valley.

“brook or stream” Think a refreshing drink of fresh water. I don't know, but it's still an awesome name.
Ronan
I adore this name even though it means “little seal” which isn't the most formidable meaning.
Nico
Short for Nicholas. “victory of the people” You can't go wrong with this meaning!
Elias
“Jehovah is God.” I'm also partial to this one as my Elias is a pretty awesome guy.
Finn
Phineas ~ means “oracle” Finn “fair,” Finnegan. There are many ways you could spell or use the name Finn.
Milo
I love this name, and it means “peaceful” which you would agree that we all need peace in our lives.

How about a bohemian name like Ash meaning happy.

Any ‘Vampire Diaries” fans out there? I'm team Damon all the way! I had to add this one, and it means “gentle, the one who tames” which I find interesting.
You are in the process of choosing a human beings name. Isn't that an incredibly heavy weight to carry? I mean, the baby grows up into an adult who has to live with your choice! I have done it seven times which is nuts! We also loved and used the names Gavin, Hunter, and Ian! I love all those names for boys and feel they are all unique boy names (but a bit more common now!)
