Babymoon Beach Destination Guide:
Clearwater is my hometown, my stomping ground, girl! So, Of course, it's number one on our Ultimate Beach Babymoon list. (Did I also mention that my hubby proposed on this beach?)

Clearwater is located on the Gulf side of Florida (the west coast) on the west side of Tampa. There is an impressive little airport in St Petersburg, or you can use Tampa International to get your pregnant little self to Clearwater! I have used Allegiant Air to fly home to visit. It flys directly to St Petersburg super cheap. But you get what you pay for, right? Personally, I prefer Southwest. Just check for good airfare rates.
While in Clearwater, use the Jolley Trolley to get around(for the most part). Use it to travel up and down the coastal towns of Pinellas County. Come on; it's $5 for unlimited rides, that's crazy, beat that Uber.
Tripadvisor voted Clearwater #1 beach destination.
You honestly have to visit Clearwater at least once to understand how beautiful the endless, buttery-soft, white sand is.
My top recommendation for laying your pretty little head:
Top on my list for your beach babymoon getaway is the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa.This resort is gorgeous. If you can pull off a weekend, then I say do it! We have stayed here and had such an incredible time. You feel like a princess and the views are unbelievable. I promise there is nothing like a sunset on the West coast of Florida. Sit back and enjoy one from your balcony at the Hyatt!

Lord have mercy, I mean hello look at the view from the room above.
Another great option is the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort: I have not personally stayed here, but I am sure it would be awesome as Hilton usually doesn't fail. Check their site out here.

Places to eat in Clearwater while on your beach babymoon:
Ok, What is a beach babymoon without good food? I mean come on, you are pregnant. Clearwater is not going to let you down in dining options.
Frenchy's: You must try their grouper sandwich. Seriously don't skip this. The original location is dear to my heart because I have so many memories of my dad (who passed away) at this location. But you can't go wrong at any of their locations. Here is a link to Frenchy's.
Saltwater Grill: This one is actually in Indian Shores, so if you have a car (or the Jolley trolley can assist), then I suggest going. Oh wait, You can Uber too. Try the Truffle Mac n Cheese for me....cause I want it right now.
Secondhand Exposure: I recommend this chick. Her work is by far the best of what I researched. Check it out for yourself. She's super talented and has an artistic flair. It's not just a posed picture and that stood out to me. I also truly love that she is a doula and knows birth. So head over to her site and check her out!

Things to do in Clearwater on your Beach Babymoon:
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a must do, especially if you've seen the movie Dolphin Tale. Winter, who is the star of the movie lives at the aquarium. I grew up going to this place on many school field trips. It was nothing like it is today, and it wasn't called an aquarium. Thanks to the movie, the place has become quite a site. My family especially loved the Hurricane Simulation. Although, After Irma last year, we may not enjoy it as much.

A dinner cruise and dolphin watching are probably one of my most favorite things to do in Florida, or anywhere (besides whale watching in Cali). You will love the crazy peace you feel out in the ocean watching a school of hundreds of dolphins performing. It is indescribable. Starlight Cruises offers cruises that include lunch or dinner.
Ok, I think getting dressed up all fancy and going to a show is pretty darn romantic. Too bad, Mike isn't on the same page, but he does agree if I beg. Ruth Eckerd Hall is a beautiful venue. My sister and I took my mom to see River Dance, and I will never forget how much fun we had together. Go check out their schedule, and I'm sure you will find something awesome to see.
This little town is super dear to my heart, as this is where we lived when Mike and I got married (technically it was a Clearwater Address, but we were close). We spent many Thursday nights at this excellent, little, Irish pub located in downtown Dunedin. Flanagan's Irish Pubwas a favorite for us. Gosh, all us young punks singing and laughing is seared in my brain. I would put a picture of us on here, but I'm sure my kids (and maybe you) do not want to see us in our Doc Martins and me sporting a spiral perm. We need to become better friends before that can happen. Dunedin along with Clearwater makes this a beautiful beach babymoon destination.

This group, board, and guidance have been absolutely invaluable.
I was extremely comfortable asking questions, making decisions and even though nothing went according to my "plan", I couldn't be any happier with the way everything went!!!
