Unwrap peppermints, either crush them in a bag or in a blender. Save some larger crushed pieces for a topping.
Pour chips into a microwave-safe bowl
Melt chocolate chips on the stovetop or in the microwave. If in the microwave, 2 minutes should be sufficient.
The chips do not appear melted, however when you stir them they will melt. Stir until smooth.
Add in the crushed peppermints. Stir.
Take a plastic tray. (I use a dollar tree serving platter), no need to grease. Spread the peppermint to the desired thickness.
Refrigerate for an hour. (until firm)
Take out and break apart.
