Today's guest, Taylor Mckay, is our team doula over here at Labor Nurse Mama, and we adore her. Of course, we talk about her birth experience and why her birth led to her dream of becoming a doula.
According to AmericanPregnancy.org, a doula is “The doula is a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, and educational support to a mother who is expecting, is experiencing labor, or has recently given birth. They aim to help women have a safe, memorable, and empowering birthing experience.”
Inside our birth classes, we felt it very important to provide our students with multiple support layers, including a doula. So last year, we brought Taylor or board; it was the BEST decision ever!!
Listen in as we break down the significance of the presence of a doula during your birth.
